At Priors Hall Dental, we believe in starting your dental journey as early as possible. We encourage you to bring your child to the practice from 6 months of age when their first teeth are expected to erupt. Regular and fun check-ups from a young age will ensure children are well educated on dental hygiene. Regular visits from an early age will not only prevent your child from developing cavities but will also build a healthy relationship with the dentist.

Studies have shown that the younger your child is when attending their first dental appointment, the more likely they are to have a positive experience and to grow up without fear of the dentist (over 33% of adults suffer from dental anxiety).

What can we do to help your Kids?

Fluoride applications are a safe and effective way to safeguard your child’s growing teeth from developing decay. The fluoride is painted onto the surface of the teeth, helping to mineralise them.

Tooth-coloured fissure sealants are applied to the biting surfaces of children’s teeth to prevent decay

Treating your child from a young age also allows us to spot early signs of misaligned teeth developing. As with most dental problems, the sooner you can start to treat these, the quicker they can be resolved.
