Braces

Braces are an effective way to improve the position of the teeth, support better bite function, and create a more confident smile. At Priors Hall Dental, we provide direct access to specialist orthodontics for children, teens, and adults, with treatment options designed around each patient’s needs, lifestyle, and oral health – at our sister practice Kaizen Dental in Market Harborough. Whether you are considering fixed metal braces, cosmetic braces, or children’s orthodontics, the team will guide you through every stage of treatment with clear advice and careful planning.

Fixed Metal Braces

Fixed metal braces remain one of the most reliable orthodontic options for correcting crowded teeth, gaps, rotated teeth, and bite concerns. They use brackets and wires to gently move the teeth into better alignment over time.

This option is often suitable for more complex orthodontic cases because it gives the dentist precise control over tooth movement. Modern fixed braces are also smaller and more comfortable than many patients expect, making them a practical choice for both younger patients and adults.

Cosmetic Braces

For patients who want a more discreet option, cosmetic braces may be a suitable choice. Discreet ceramic fixed braces work in a similar way to traditional metal braces, but the brackets are tooth-coloured or clear, helping them blend more naturally with your smile.

Cosmetic braces can be a good option for teens and adults who want effective orthodontic treatment without the look of metal brackets. During your consultation, we will assess your teeth and bite to confirm whether ceramic fixed braces are right for your case.

Children’s Orthodontics

Children’s orthodontics can help identify and manage developing bite and alignment concerns at an earlier stage. In some cases, interceptive treatments may guide jaw growth, create space, or reduce the need for more complex treatment later.

Depending on your child’s needs, treatment may include:

  • Removable appliances, including URA

  • Bite planes to help manage bite position

  • Expander screws to support arch development

  • Fixed braces when full alignment treatment is needed

Early orthodontic assessment can be especially helpful if a child has crowding, a narrow upper jaw, an uneven bite, prominent front teeth, or early loss of baby teeth.

Specialist Orthodontics do more than improve the appearance of your smile. Properly aligned teeth are often easier to clean, which can support long-term gum and dental health. A better bite can also help reduce uneven wear on the teeth and improve overall comfort when chewing.
